Most of us have busy lives and don’t want to waste too much time when it comes to our hair. In that case, hair care products that can be used in various ways are very handy as they save you both time and money. The new deep conditioner of Daffie Be Proud is such a multi functional product. And already one of my favorites! If you want to know more about this product and how to use it, then make sure you read this blog.
About the deep conditioner
The new deep conditioner of Daffie Be Proud has a thick, creamy structure that spreads easily. Therefore you don’t need much. Its main ingredient is mango butter, just like all the other products of this brand. Furthermore, the formula is enriched with melon seed oil, jojoba oil and vitamin E oil. This combination of ingredients makes sure that your hair stays nourished and hydrated.
Melon seed oil is such a special ingredient, as it nurtures without clogging the hair or leaving any residue. This way, the hair is still able to absorb moisture and important nutrients. In addition, no layer is formed. Therefore, less dirt will be attracted so that the hair stays clean longer. Finally, this special oil works wonders for people that suffer from hair loss as well as people that dyed their hair.
Use the deep conditioner as a pre poo, deep conditioner, deep treatment, leave-in or for a touch up. Continue reading of you want to know how.
Pre poo
Pre poo is a product that you use before you wash your hair with a shampoo. Hence the name ‘pre poo’ (before shampoo). The advantage of this is that your hair is being nourished before washing, with less dry and tangled hair as a result. In order to use the deep conditioner as a pre poo, apply the creamy texture to your hair and let it sit for a while. You can wait a few hours or leave it overnight. If you choose to leave it overnight, then wash your hair the next day. After washing, finish your hair routine as usual.
Deep Conditioner
It is important to deep condition your hair, especially if you have curly or coily hair. Depending on your hair needs, deep condition your hair on a monthly or weekly basis. In contrast to a normal conditioner, a deep conditioner is more nourishing for two reasons. The first is that it opens the hair cuticles, whereas a normal conditioner closes them. Secondly, a deep conditioner is enriched with more nourishing ingredients such as oils and butters. That way it moisturized the hair a lot better.
Apply the formula after washing your hair with a shampoo and let it sit for a while. Again, this can be for a few hours or overnight. When the time has passed, rinse your hair and apply a conditioner to your hair. Never forget to use a normal conditioner after using a deep conditioner. The conditioner makes sure that your hair cuticles are being closed again. This is important to seal in moisture as well as to protect your hair from external factors.
Deep treatment
When doing a deep treatment, many use a hot oil treatment. As the name suggests, a hot oil treatment uses the advantages of both oil and heat. For a hot oil treatment one or a mixture of oils can be used. The nourishing particles of the oil (such as fatty acids and vitamins) make sure the hair is nurtured. The advantages of using heat is that the nourishing particles are being absorbed more easily. Since the formula contains melon seed oil, this product can be used as a deep treatment in the same way as a hot oil treatment.
Apply the formula to the hair, cover your head with a plastic cap and apply heat. Rinse your hair and apply a (leave-in) conditioner after to close your hair cuticles.
Leave-in
Did you know that you can also leave the conditioner in your hair? Although it may not be for everyone, it can be a solution especially for people with very dry hair. The most important thing to look out for when thinking of using a (deep) conditioner as a leave-in is to look at the ingredients list. If there are no harmful ingredients in the formula, then you are good to go! The new deep conditioner of Daffie Be Proud only contains natural ingredients. Therefore, it is perfect to try it as a leave-in conditioner. But remember to use a normal conditioner after applying, to make sure the hair cuticles are closed.
I have tried the deep conditioner as a leave-in myself and the results are amazing. I have posted a picture of myself so you can see for yourself. I noticed that my hair is less frizzy. Also, my hair was nourished longer. Therefore I needed less of other products between washing days in order to keep my hair beautiful.
Touch up
Finally, it is worth a try to use the deep conditioner for a touch up between washing days. If the product is too heavy, you can dilute it with some water. Take a water spray bottle, fill it with water and an amount of deep conditioner. Shake well before spraying the mixture into your hair and see how it breathes new life into your curls and/or coils.
So these are the options you can use the deep conditioner. Which one would you like to try?
